We are partnering with the Crystal Lake Police department's Touch the Truck Event and our Stuff the Bus Event, to help collect new school supplies for students grades K-12 in need throughout McHenry County, whose household income does not exceed 200% over the poverty level. We will be collecting new supplies at the Crystal Lake Walmart Friday 7/17 11-3 and Johnsburg Walmart Thursday 7/16 10:30-2:30. Supplies can be dropped off at the Salvation Army Corps. 290 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake M-F 8:30-3:30 by Wednesday 7/22.

 

We all remember the excitement of the first day of school with all our new everything prepared to have a great school year. Help ensure that these students start the school year with the same excitement, confidence, and necessary school supplies to have a successful school year. 

 

Last year we gave out over 500 backpacks; the previous year was over 800 with the generous help of the community. A backpack with the supplies cost over $30 at our discounted rates, so every dollar and item helps
