Human Race - 5K

The Cary-Grove High School Booster Club is a member of the Volunteer Center McHenry County.  This partnership allows us to be involved in the HUMAN RACE 5k Walk/Run sponsored by Volunteer Center McHenry County.   The Human Race is on April 24^th at McHenry County College.  This is an unique event that allows participates to choose which non-profit organization will receive a portion of the race fee and also additional fundraising is available.  The booster club proudly serves ALL students at Cary-Grove with activities such as scholarships, new equipment, the annual safe post prom event, etc (please see the list below) 

Two ways to support your booster club:

1) register for the Human Race 5K Walk/Run & select Cary Grove Booster Club as your non-profit. McHenry County Human Race

2) send donation to Cary Grove Booster Club via the Human Race 5K website http://mchumanrace.org/Donatetoacharity.htm

The booster club has contributed to the purchase/support of the following items over the years:

·         College Scholarships

·         Annual Post Prom transportation and entertainment

·         New flooring for the weight room

·         New hats for the entire marching band

·         New sound system for lower gym

·         Startup of computer Genius bar used by facility and students

·         New uniforms for various clubs and teams

·         Construction of the new auditorium

·         Physics Department Vernier dynamics carts

·         Outdoor speakers for stadium to be used at games and graduation

·         Weight room equipment – used by all students

·         Meet the Deans refreshments

·         Life Skills program learning tools

·         Marketing materials for VEI and business groups

·         New microscopes for the science department

·         Concession Stand equipment and supplies

·         ACT prep software for the students

·         Construction of the new athletic equipment shed

·         Comedy Club film equipment

·         Spirit wear sales through school store and at various events/games

·         Communication to parents and community through website and media
