Goodwill Chamber Ribbon Cutting Event Scheduled

A chamber ribbon cutting for a new Goodwill store at 1016 Central Park Drive (next to Walmart) in Crystal Lake will be held Wednesday, April 9, at 9:00 AM.  Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, Cary Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Crystal Lake city officials along with Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois staff will celebrate the opening of the new 19,450-square foot retail store.  Representatives of Cord Construction and McClellan Blakemore Architects will also be attending the event.

The new store will bring many benefits to the community in training and employment, the generation of new sales tax receipts for Crystal Lake, and substantial recycling opportunities.

The store includes a large 400-square foot “Community Room” that allows local groups and organizations to have a conference or classroom style space with seating for 30, internet connectivity, and audio visual equipment available for their meetings at no charge.

The Crystal Lake Goodwill also includes a drive-thru donation center that allows donors to easily and quickly drop off their items without having to enter the store.  The store is open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 9:00AM – 9:00PM, Saturday, 9:00AM - 7:00PM and Sunday, 10:00AM - 6:00PM.
