Food Demonstrations - Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery & Garden Center

Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery & Garden Center is offering “Share, Indulge and Preserve” demonstrations on Saturday, August 15.  Learn how to get the most out of your fresh produce.  Beginning at 9 a.m., ”What to do with what you Grew” will provide recipes for preserving fresh produce; 12 noon, “Vegetarian Alternatives,” will show you how to make a quick veggie pizza; and at 1 p.m., “Desserts with Chef Thomas Kaltenecker.“ Please RSVP by August 12 at (815) 459-8130 or e-mail to marcy@countrysideflowershop.com.   Stop by this week through August 15 and donate items for the Food Drive to benefit Crystal Lake Food Pantry and receive a $5 coupon redeemable in September.  Fresh produce should be dropped off on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Non-perishables can be accepted anytime.  Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery & Garden Center is located at 5301 E.
