Open heart surgery comes with fear and apprehension. Sometimes understanding procedures helps eliminate these emotions. Dr. Timothy Votapka will demostrate (using a cow heart) how open heart surgery is performed and offer a unique perspective in understanding this procedure. Join us for this visual experience of open heart surgery. Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's cardiac program is designated as being a "Center of Distrinction for Cardiac Care" by Blue Cross/Blue Shield, one of 12 in Illinois. A light meal will be served!
