DESCRIPTION:April 1 Registration Deadline   \n\n  May 2-9 Art on Display   \n\n  May 6\, 7:30 pm Presentation and Awards Ceremony   \n\n        \n\n  CALL FOR ARTISTS     \n\n  Students may enter one piece of artwork in any medium. \n\nA brief artist statement describing the piece must be submitted for display with the artwork. \n\nStudents should include on the back of the piece their name\, school and contact information. \n\n     \n\n  Pieces will be judged based upon three criteria:     \n\n  Technical skills (use of tools) \n\nImaginative expression (original construction of imagery) \n\nPurposeful exploration (pursuit of original interpretation of an idea) \n\n     \n\n  Students should inform VOICE of their interest in submitting a piece by\n\nApril 1\, 2011.     \n\nAWARDS       \n\n  1st Place: $1\,000 3rd Place: $250   \n\n  2nd Place: $500 4th Place: $250
